Bueno…just a quick update on where we are at with the Latino Blog Network & Directory.

Over the past months you’ve probably seen major changes all across the whole website. You’ve seen things come and go, things go up and come down. Well that’s because we’ve been testing and playing with different options.

We’ve done away with a few things for now and may bring them back in the future. So please let us know if you’re missing a feature.

…for now, let us tell you about what we’ve got!

The Directory – Hey, we started as the Latino Blog Directory but we knew right away that there needed to be a social element with having a directory otherwise, its just that, a “directory” – So this has always been central to what Blogadera stands has been trying to do – to build the ultimate Latino Blog Network! We started out as a blog blogging about blogs and grew into so much more very quickly so we feel that we could do more to help bring more people into blogging in 2010, hence the Latino Blog Network! If you already have a blog, add it to the directory, if you don’t have a blog, start one on blogadera and then….add it to the directory. We love it!

The Network – When you become a member of the blogadera you are given the option to activate a blog or continue simply as a member of the community. Both is ok! The blog network is powered by WordPress framework so if you are familiar with it, you should find your way around fairly easily. If you’re new to blogging this is a great way to get up and running quickly and best of all – free. Eso!

The Videolog – One of our favorite sections is the videolog, the blogadera community vlog. Its just a cool little spot where we can all share videos we find around the web. We’ve updated the look and feel to look like a web channel and we’re customizing this into a theme to be made available for you guys on your blogadera network blog. How exciting!

The Community – Alot of effort has gone into building the community pages. You’ll now find a real time activity twitter-like home page where you can instantly post your blinks (blinks are quick status messages made on the blogadera) Use @replies and reply to other member activities and browse around different community components like member profiles and groups. Nice!

The Magazine – You might have seen a couple of our interviews with Latino Bloggers who we met by way of this blogadera – and that’s just it, the blogadera has allowed us to connect with the Latino Blogosphere like never before – We want to continue on this track and host an array of blogger interviews and other blogo-features. Whoa!

Hola! – The blogadera community blog is an easy way to post a quick blurb, quote, blog post or message. Its sort of like a wall but more blogadera-ish. This much like the videolog is also a user blog theme for member in the blogadera network. Yes!

Jobs – Latino Blogs Job Board is useful tool to help bloggers find gigs and gigs find bloggers. That’s Simple!

…and there you have it, that’s where we’re at. Again, we will be tinkering little more around the site, but just not as much as before. We love this place and all the gente bonita that stops by.

What’s Next? Fotolog! A photo blog – (and yes, will be working to make it available as a theme to the blogger members!) and forums! maybe! maybe.
